Part-Time Lead Janitor - Government Buildings | The Dalles, OR | $21.00/hr Van Jan is a locally owned commercial janitorial company serving clients across Washington and Oregon since 2017. We're hiring a Lead Janitor for custodial work across several government buildings in The Dalles, starting August 2nd. This is our on-the-ground leadership role out here — you'll be cleaning alongside the crew, but you'll also be the person we count on to keep quality and coverage on track.

Schedule:

Part-time, typically 22-25 hours per week, with some weeks going up to 30 Sunday through Thursday Sunday start times are flexible Monday through Thursday shifts start after 5:00 PM Some nights will run longer than planned, especially when we're covering a callout — we need someone who can stay when the work calls for it What you'll do: Standard janitorial and custodial cleaning across multiple government building sites Check other cleaners' work for quality and let us know when something isn't right Train new hires and help them get up to speed Help cover shifts when someone calls out Keep us in the loop on what's happening at the sites What we're looking for: Rock-solid reliability. This is the single most important thing. Our crew and our client depend on this role being there, especially on Sundays. A self-starter who can run the night without someone looking over your shoulder Someone who can honestly evaluate their own work and other people's, and hold a high standard Good communication skills — you'll be our eyes and ears out here Strong attention to detail and pride in a job well done Able to pass a federal background check and prove your identity with valid government-issued documentation, we'll walk you through what's needed Reliable transportation to get to job sites

Pay:

$21.00 per hour Set schedule Sunday through Thursday, with hours that flex up when we need coverage Additional information: Van Jan participates in E-Verify.
