What they do
A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

- $15 an hour 19 hours ago Qualifications Janitorial experience English Groundskeeping Custodial experience Time management Full Job Description Hillcrest Christian Academy in Bethel Park, PA is looking for a responsible custodian to help maintain and protect our facilities during the school day.
Duties:
- Perform general cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure cleanliness and functionality of the facility
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors
- Empty trash bins and replace liners
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies
- Dust and wipe down surfaces, including desks, tables, and windowsills
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request restocking as needed
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines for handling cleaning chemicals
- Assist with setting up rooms for meetings or events as requested
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques is a plus
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as buffers, carpet cleaners, and pressure washers
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
