GENERAL SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Project Manager, the Assistant Janitorial Supervisor is responsible for the training of employees at assigned custodial contract sites. Assigned duties are implemented in a manner appropriate to the age-specific needs of the individuals served.

EDUCATION

High school graduate or equivalent required.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Six months of custodial experience is preferred.

SPECIAL EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

Must be 18 years of age or older. Valid PA Driver's License for travel to various employment sites. Successful completion of Allied Services Driver Training Program to operate Allied Services vehicles. May transport clients to employment sites as situation dictates.

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF JOB

Instructs assigned clients on proper work habits, methods, and safety procedures. Assists in maintaining contract specifications regarding the scheduling of clients and quality control needed in custodial accounts. Reports daily to the Training Supervisor on the status of clients in the program and maintains records of their development during the various phases of training. Performs the duties of a custodian if a staff shortage occurs. Keeps all equipment in a clean and proper working condition. Assists in maintaining accurate inventories of supplies. Provides crisis intervention, which may include hand over hand client restraint and redirection, and related services when necessary. Safely transports clients to and from the work-site when necessary. Additional Information
