Janitor Job Description We are seeking a dedicated janitor to maintain cleanliness in a hospital setting. The role involves cleaning specific areas of the hospital, including taking out trash, sweeping and mopping hallways and rooms, cleaning rooms after patients are discharged, sanitizing areas, and cleaning walls. As the janitor, you will work in close proximity to patients and nurses, requiring good customer service skills. Responsibilities Clean patient rooms thoroughly after discharge Sweep and mop hospital hallways and rooms Remove trash and dispose of it properly Vacuum hospital areas as needed Sanitize all designated areas to maintain hygiene standards Turnover rooms promptly for incoming patients Essential Skills Proficiency in cleaning, dusting, mopping, and sweeping Experience in disinfecting and sanitizing Ability to replenish stock efficiently Housekeeping and janitorial skills Strong customer service skills Additional Skills & Qualifications Positive attitude and strong work ethic Reliability and punctuality Experience in environmental services and custodial work Why Work Here? Work Environment The position is based in a hospital setting, including operating rooms and emergency rooms. The role requires wearing a provided uniform, specifically a scrub top. Current openings are available on the 2nd shift, from Monday to Friday, 3pm to 11:30pm, with a rotating schedule every other weekend. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dickson City, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.75 - $16.75/hr.
