A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Join the team at The Hotel Hershey, a luxury resort best known for its refined elegance, signature services, and abundant amenities. The Hotel Hershey is situated high atop the town of Hershey and has 326 guest rooms, including 19 Villas with 98 luxury sleeping rooms, as well as 25,000 square feet of meeting and function space. The 1930's hotel is a Historic Hotel of America and a AAA Four-Diamond Award winner. This is a part-time year round position to set up and take down function arrangements. Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job): Adhering to and completing a daily checklist. Timely and accurate set up and taking down function rooms. This involves moving tables, chairs, meeting equipment, and any other items necessary for the success of our guests. Delivering boxes to meeting rooms. Vacuuming carpets, dusting chair rails in the function rooms, cleaning chandeliers, and filing maintenance requests when necessary. The setup of outdoor functions including a pool side buffet in the summer, events on the front veranda, and wedding ceremonies. The setup of exhibit tables. Maintaining neat and clean storerooms and taking equipment to the engineering department for necessary repair. Working with other departments and divisions both within and outside the company to meet business needs.
Qualifications:
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age. Must have a valid Driver's License This position participates in the post-offer employment testing program.

Must have a guest-oriented attitude, ability to work with others, and well
  • groomed appearance.
Ability to read written instructions.

11pm-7:30 am This is a union position and the work schedule will be based on union seniority.
