Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning duties across all designated areas, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal to uphold high sanitation standards. Handle cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and vacuums safely and effectively to maintain floors and surfaces. Manage chemical agents responsibly by following safety protocols for handling, storage, and disposal to ensure a safe working environment. Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling tasks in accordance with safe lifting practices when moving furniture, supplies, or equipment. Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, break rooms, offices, and common areas while adhering to sanitation guidelines. Support facilities maintenance activities as needed, including minor repairs or reporting issues requiring specialized attention. Provide excellent customer service by addressing cleaning requests promptly and professionally, fostering a positive environment for staff and visitors alike. Experience Prior custodial or janitorial experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates eager to learn. Familiarity with cleaning procedures involving chemical agents and safety procedures is advantageous. Experience operating cleaning equipment such as floor buffers or carpet cleaners helps ensure efficient performance. Knowledge of safety protocol adherence during heavy lifting and manual handling enhances workplace safety. Background in facilities maintenance or commercial cleaning supports a seamless integration into the role's responsibilities.
