Job Description

At Sofitel Philadelphia at Rittenhouse Square, elegance meets excellence! We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to join our team as Hotel Receiver / F&B Porter This role oversees all receiving operations, managing stock, verifying quality and quantity of deliveries, and organizing goods. Your work directly supports our Culinary, F&B, Front Office & Housekeeping teams in delivering the elevated experiences that define Sofitel.
What You Will Be Doing:
RECEIVING
Supervise and execute all receiving operations for food, beverage, and general supplies. Safely operate equipment including pallet jacks, when necessary, to move or organize deliveries. Ensure accuracy of deliveries against purchase orders Submit all invoices/documentation to the F&B Administrator Coordinate all incoming and outgoing shipments, including client packages and group materials, collaborating closely with Sales, Events, Group Contacts, and Concierge to ensure seamless handling. Oversee the organization, cleanliness, and upkeep of the receiving and storage areas and loading dock in compliance with HACCP, safety, and brand standards.
PORTER DUTIES
Work collaboratively with Culinary & Stewarding to ensure food items are delivered promptly between the different kitchens/storage areas. Work collaboratively with Culinary & Stewarding to ensure staff cafeteria is stocked at all meal periods Ensure organization and timely return of pallets. Ensure breakdown and baling of cardboard boxes
Qualifications Your Experience and Skills Include:
Minimum 1-year experience in receiving, purchasing, accounting, or food & beverage; luxury experience preferred. College diploma an asset Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational ability. Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with financial and vendor data. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying temperature environments. Ability to use a pallet jack.
