Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Porter to join our team during the evening shift. This vital role ensures the cleanliness, safety, and overall maintenance of our facilities, creating a welcoming environment for staff and visitors alike. As an evening shift porter, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and orderliness throughout the premises, supporting our commitment to a professional and inviting space. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning and janitorial duties across all areas of the facility, including restrooms, hallways, offices, and common spaces. Conduct routine custodial tasks such as trash removal, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold hygiene standards. Maintain floors through buffing, polishing, and other floor care procedures to ensure a polished appearance. Support facilities maintenance by reporting repairs needed for lighting, plumbing, or structural issues promptly. Assist with industrial cleaning tasks when necessary, including cleaning equipment or large-scale areas. Support residential painting projects or touch-ups as needed to maintain facility aesthetics. Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintained for safety and efficiency. Qualifications Prior experience in cleaning, janitorial work, custodial services, or facilities maintenance is highly preferred. Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques and industrial cleaning processes. Experience with floor care procedures such as buffing and polishing. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning equipment safely. Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards. Excellent time management skills to complete assigned duties efficiently during evening hours. Nice-to-have skills include residential painting experience or familiarity with industrial cleaning supplies and methods.
