Receiving and Wash Plant Manager SUMMARY Under the direction of the Receiving and Wash Plant Manager, manage the operation of the Wash Plant.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Learn and perform specific safety and operational procedures for each type of forklift used in the warehouse; including daily inspection, changing of batteries and/or propane tanks, and troubleshooting of maintenance issues. Know or be able to learn the operation of all the Wash Plant equipment and the ability to understand and implement the procedures followed, including the computer set up of the equipment Check the pick outs coming from the Odenberg to see that the programming is set correctly and kicking the correct product. Operate the pump and flume system to wash potatoes from storage to the Wash Plant Operate truck dumper to unload bulk loads Operate the pump and flume system to wash potatoes off bulk loads Operate bulk body field trucks and stinger conveyers to unload potatoes from field trucks Operate the bin tipper to unload bins directly into stinger Operate the small washer for small loads Be responsible for emptying and cleaning pit on a regular basis Assure proper cleaning and sanitizing of wash bay equipment and the wash plant room Maintain open communication with supervisors and managers in order to achieve the above expectations Must be capable of standing for at least four hours straight Basic reading and math skills are useful

Assist with product quality control Help perform general plant cleaning and sanitation Assist with basic maintenance of wash plant equipment Perform other duties within the production facility as assigned
