Professional Janitorial Worker

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, with a focus on commercial, and industrial federal buildings. Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas. Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to ensure floors are well-maintained and visually appealing. Handle custodial responsibilities in both residential and commercial settings, ensuring all areas meet cleanliness standards. Assist with industrial cleaning tasks as needed, including the use of specialized equipment. Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; ensure they are stored properly after use. Provide porter services when required, assisting with the movement of furniture or equipment as necessary. Skills Proven experience in custodial or janitorial work is preferred but not mandatory. Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques and floor care procedures. Familiarity with residential painting is a plus for maintaining aesthetic appeal in facilities. Ability to perform commercial cleaning tasks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
