Duties Perform thorough cleaning of offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment Handle chemical agents safely, following all safety protocols and handling instructions to prevent accidents or contamination Conduct floor care activities including sweeping, mopping, buffing, waxing, and polishing to maintain a pristine surface finish Operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers, carpet cleaners, and floor waxers with precision and care Lift heavy objects safely during tasks like moving furniture or cleaning equipment, adhering to manual handling guidelines Maintain cleanliness of carpets through vacuuming and deep cleaning techniques to ensure a fresh environment Follow established janitorial procedures to uphold hygiene standards and environmental safety regulations Experience Previous custodial or janitorial experience in a commercial or institutional setting is highly preferred Familiarity with cleaning techniques involving chemical agents and their proper handling is essential Experience with floor care equipment including buffing machines, carpet cleaners, and waxers is advantageous Knowledge of environmental services practices to promote sustainability and safety in cleaning routines Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while lifting, moving, or installing cleaning supplies or equipment Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach toward maintaining cleanliness standards across multiple areas Join us in creating clean, safe, and inviting environments!
