Job Overview:
- Atlantic Duct Cleaning is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Commercial Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning Technician to join our growing Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning team.
This hands-on field position is responsible for cleaning commercial kitchen exhaust systems, including hoods, filters, ductwork, and exhaust fans. Our work helps restaurants and commercial kitchens reduce fire risks, maintain cleaner systems, and support compliance with NFPA 96 and local fire-safety requirements. Most work is completed at night, overnight, or early in the morning while customer kitchens are closed. Applicants must be available for overnight work as a required part of this position. Hours:
- Employees must be available to work nights and early mornings, as most services are performed while customers' kitchens are closed. Typical shifts fall between 8:00 PM and 10:00 AM , with up to two 4-hour shifts scheduled per day.
Duties:
- Perform commercial kitchen exhaust cleaning services, including hoods, filters, grease trays, accessible ductwork, access panels, and exhaust fans.
Use approved tools, equipment, containment materials, and cleaning chemicals to remove grease, oil, and buildup safely and thoroughly. Protect customer property, cooking equipment, floors, walls, and surrounding work areas before beginning service. Follow Atlantic Duct Cleaning procedures, customer requirements, and applicable safety standards on every job. Inspect systems for visible grease buildup, access limitations, damage, leakage, missing components, or other potential deficiencies. -site concerns, safety hazards, deficiencies, or recommended repairs to the appropriate supervisor. Take required before-and-after photos and complete all job documentation using company software. Maintain accurate records of services performed and notable site conditions. Communicate professionally with customers, restaurant staff, building personnel, and fellow team members. Maintain company vehicles, equipment, tools, and supplies in clean, organized, and working condition. Follow all company safety requirements, including proper use of PPE, ladders, cleaning chemicals, rooftop-access procedures, and other required safety practices. Work efficiently as part of a team while maintaining Atlantic Duct Cleaning quality and customer-service standards.
- Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check.
Available to work required night and early-morning shifts. Prior commercial kitchen exhaust cleaning or similar field experience preferred; training provided. Able to work safely in physically demanding environments, including rooftops and ladders, and lift up to 100 pounds. Reliable, detail-oriented, professional, and able to work well independently and as part of a team.
