THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position helps maintain clean, safe, and orderly environments throughout the Selinsgrove Center. The role involves using proper cleaning tools, following safety guidelines, and completing tasks in line with established procedures. As a Custodial Worker 1, you will perform the following duties:
Facility Cleaning:
Maintain bedrooms, bathrooms, hallways, and other areas using proper cleaning tools and techniques
Equipment Operation:
Use mechanical cleaning equipment safely and store it correctly after use
Chemical Safety:
Select and apply appropriate cleaning products according to guidelines and safety sheets
Hazard Removal:
Clear entrance areas of snow, ice, and water to prevent accidents
Furniture Movement:
Move furniture and equipment as needed to support cleaning tasks
Supply Requests:
Request and maintain needed cleaning supplies to support daily responsibilities
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on a rotating schedule, which includes 4 to 5 weekends per year and a 30 minute lunch.
