Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cleaner to join our team in Pensacola. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of various commercial and residential facilities. Your expertise in custodial tasks, floor care, and safety protocols will ensure a pristine environment that meets high standards of hygiene and safety. This position offers an energetic work environment where your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will shine. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of floors, surfaces, restrooms, windows, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers. Handle chemical agents safely, following all safety protocols for storage, mixing, and disposal to ensure a secure working environment. Conduct custodial duties including trash removal, dusting, mopping, sweeping, and sanitation of high-touch areas to promote health and cleanliness. Operate cleaning machinery and tools efficiently while adhering to safe lifting practices during heavy lifting tasks or manual handling activities. Maintain facilities by performing routine maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues to the appropriate personnel. Follow strict safety procedures during all cleaning operations to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health regulations. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to client requests and ensuring their satisfaction with the cleanliness standards maintained. Qualifications Proven janitorial or custodial experience with a strong understanding of commercial cleaning procedures. Knowledge of cleaning equipment including floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other custodial tools. Experience handling chemical agents safely in accordance with chemical handling safety procedures. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while following safe lifting practices. Familiarity with sanitation standards, facilities maintenance, and industrial cleaning techniques. Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills. Prior experience in residential painting or industrial cleaning is a plus but not required.
