Job Description:
To perform custodial work as assigned and required to clean and maintain the buildings and facilities of the University. To provide labor and skills necessary to operate machines and use materials to perform general University custodial work as required and assigned without exception. Cleaning Services Clean and service rest rooms, smoking urns and ash trays. Mop, sweep, scrub floors and other surfaces, maintain and renew floor surface finishes, vacuum and shampoo rugs. Dust and wax furniture, exhibit cases, fixtures, windows, doors, trim and related furnishings. Wash windows, glass doors, and interior glasses, including partitions, frames, pictures, etc. Debris and Snow Removal Collect any debris in and around buildings and place in containers. Collect debris from all building receptors and place in outside containers for removal by truck. Sweep or shovel snow from steps and walks at building entrances and connecting walks. Doors Lock and unlock doors to classrooms, lecture rooms, offices, etc. Move Move furniture, supplies and miscellaneous equipment as directed. Paint Paint as directed and required. Repair Report all items that require repair. Additional Functions Required to attend all mandatory safety classes. This is a full-time (40-hour) Facilities Management Union position. $500 signing bonus after a 4-month probationary period is completed. •Competitive salary and excellent benefits package including health, dental, 15 paid holidays, tuition benefits, and a generous 403(b) match •
