2nd Shift Custodian
Reports To:
Director of Physical Plant
Position Summary:
The Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and general upkeep of school buildings and grounds, including classrooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
Responsibilities Include:
Cleaning classrooms, lavatories, hallways, and other school areas; Sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and emptying trash; Maintaining floors, including stripping and waxing as needed; Operating floor cleaning and maintenance equipment; Ensuring restrooms and supply dispensers are stocked; Assisting with snow and ice removal from walkways and entrances; Performing exterior cleaning, including picking up litter and basic grounds maintenance; Moving furniture and equipment for school activities and events; Assisting maintenance staff when needed; Helping prepare areas for classes and special events; Performing other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED; Valid driver's license (preferred); Prior custodial or related experience preferred; Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow safety procedures;
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and move for extended periods; Ability to bend, squat, and twist regularly during an 8-hour shift; Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds; Ability to operate custodial equipment and climb ladders when necessary. •Full Job description available upon request•- Hours are 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm Pay and Benefits per Contract
