A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Immediately Job Description Coventry Public Schools is seeking to hire substitute per diem custodians. Pay Rate of $16.00 an hour

Job Overview:

To provide a variety of services pertaining to the cleanliness and upkeep of offices, rest rooms, stairways, corridor, and academic areas.

Requirements:

Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning preferred but not required. Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices is a plus. Familiarity with floor care techniques, including buffing and polishing, is desirable. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. A positive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team.
