Objective :

The Maintenance/ Cleaning Tech is responsible to support a property or properties in the cleanliness and the upkeep of the property buildings and grounds. The Maintenance tech is responsible for special projects assigned along assisting staff with the needs of each community.

Duties and Responsibilities :

Maintains a safe/clean work space at all times. Performs minor carpentry, mechanical, and plumbing repairs as well as basic plastering, painting, and assistance in troubleshooting. Supports Maintenance Lead Technician or any other teammate with maintenance projects such as turnovers, cabinet/countertop installation etc. Completes all paperwork in their entirety, such as, but not limited to, timesheets and work orders. Complies with all federal, state and local laws, including Fair Housing regulations Snow removal as required Ensures each of the facility's exterior grounds are clean and free from any safety concerns. Able to perform concrete, asphalt, Roofing, and siding repairs. Assist the sites with Inspection preparation (REAC or MOR). Participate in special projects as needed and required.

Qualifications :

At least 2 to 3 year's apartment maintenance experience that provide a knowledge of practices and procedures related to property management, maintenance, material requirements and building operation and repair High school and/or technical school graduate preferred Basic knowledge in the trades including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting and HVAC and have an ability to diagnose malfunctions to troubleshoot Organizational skills - keeping track of multiple work orders, while prioritizing emergencies Driver's License and reliable transportation required BCI required Ability to follow directions Ability to complete tasks on time and meet deadlines MUST be able for on-call emergency rotation

Physical Demands and Work Environment :

Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, climb ladders, operate equipment, work in cramped positions, pull, push and lift up to 50 to 75 pounds. Lifting requirements may include moving furniture, appliance as well as power tool & construction equipment. Ability to enter and access all areas of all building and dwelling units. Adequate hearing, speech, and vision to prepare read and complete work orders
