Job Description

•this is for a Monday, Wednesday and Friday schedule. 8am-5pm•Duties Perform routine cleaning of floors, windows, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies. Handle chemical cleaning agents safely, adhering to all safety protocols and using personal protective equipment (PPE) effectively. Conduct specialized cleaning tasks such as pressure washing exterior surfaces and detailed floor care to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Manage laundry services when required, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or uniforms. Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting surfaces and ensuring infection control procedures are followed diligently. Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to moving furniture or equipment while following manual handling safety guidelines. Operate cleaning machinery such as vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, and pressure washers with skill and care. Support custodial operations by replenishing supplies, disposing of waste properly, and maintaining cleaning inventory. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations by using appropriate PPE during all cleaning activities. Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently and uphold the cleanliness standards of the facility. Skills Proven custodial or janitorial experience in commercial or institutional settings. Proficiency in various cleaning techniques including window cleaning, floor care, and sanitation procedures. Knowledge of chemical handling protocols and infection control measures. Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as pressure washers, vacuums, and floor polishers safely. Strong manual handling skills for heavy lifting and moving objects without injury. Excellent attention to detail to ensure thorough cleanliness across all areas. Good customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when needed. Familiarity with safety practices related to the use of PPE and chemical products. Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently or as part of a team effectively.
