Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to join our facilities maintenance team. In this vital role, you will ensure that our environment remains spotless, safe, and welcoming for employees, visitors, and clients alike. Your proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance will help uphold the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness across our commercial or residential spaces. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain a pristine appearance Handle custodial tasks like trash removal, restocking supplies, and disinfecting surfaces to ensure health standards are met Maintain cleanliness of windows, glass surfaces, and fixtures for a polished look Assist with light maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues to maintenance teams Follow safety protocols during cleaning procedures to prevent accidents or injuries Support industrial or commercial cleaning projects as needed, including specialized tasks like carpet cleaning or high dusting Requirements Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings preferred Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care methods, and custodial equipment operation Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, lifting (up to 50 pounds), and prolonged periods of walking or standing Familiarity with industrial cleaning products and safety procedures Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards Reliable and punctual with a proactive attitude towards maintaining a safe environment Join us in creating clean, safe spaces that foster productivity and comfort!
