A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Responsibilities:
- Perform commercial cleaning duties in various settings, such as offices, schools, or healthcare facilities
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and floors
- Dust and wipe down surfaces, including desks, tables, and countertops
- Vacuum and mop floors to maintain cleanliness
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
- Restock supplies, such as paper towels, toilet paper, and soap
- Follow established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial work preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and products
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks
- Strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods of time
