Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and dependable Shop Maintenance/Porter to keep our facility clean, organized, and well-maintained. This vital role ensures a safe, tidy, and welcoming environment for staff and visitors alike. The ideal candidate will have experience in janitorial services, custodial work, or facilities maintenance, with a keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic. Your efforts will directly contribute to the smooth operation of our workspace, promoting safety and efficiency every day. Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal to maintain cleanliness throughout the shop area Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, polishing, and applying protective coatings to ensure floors are safe and visually appealing Assist with general facilities maintenance including minor repairs, painting, and touch-ups in both commercial and residential settings Support industrial cleaning projects by handling specialized equipment and adhering to safety protocols Manage janitorial supplies inventory, restocking as needed to ensure continuous cleanliness operations Maintain a safe environment by inspecting the premises for hazards and reporting issues promptly Support team members with moving supplies or equipment as required to facilitate daily operations Transport vehicles between sublet vendors as necessary Skills Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services within commercial or industrial environments Familiarity with basic facilities maintenance tasks Ability to operate cleaning machinery safely and effectively Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety standards and quality workmanship Good physical stamina for lifting, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and report maintenance issues promptly Join us in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming space where productivity thrives!
