Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Night Porter to join our team on a part-time basis (6pm-10pm/Monday through Friday) in Simpsonville, SC. This vital role ensures the cleanliness, safety, and security of our facilities during nighttime hours. As a Night Porter, you will be the first line of support for maintaining a welcoming environment, performing custodial tasks, and ensuring all safety protocols are followed. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help create a secure and spotless environment for staff and visitors alike. Duties Conduct routine inspections of the premises to ensure safety, cleanliness, and security during overnight hours Perform cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and sanitizing common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents Handle janitorial tasks such as replenishing supplies, maintaining floor buffers, and performing floor care including buffing and polishing surfaces Operate cleaning machinery safely, adhering to chemical handling safety procedures and proper manual handling techniques for heavy lifting Monitor security systems, conduct surveillance checks, and respond promptly to any incidents or emergencies Maintain sanitation standards by following strict safety protocols and ensuring all cleaning practices meet health regulations Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting issues requiring professional attention Experience Prior custodial or janitorial experience preferred, with a strong understanding of commercial cleaning practices Experience operating floor buffers, cleaning equipment, and performing industrial or residential cleaning tasks Knowledge of chemical agent handling safety procedures and sanitation standards necessary for maintaining a safe environment Familiarity with facilities maintenance or industrial cleaning is advantageous Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and follow safety protocol adherence at all times Customer service skills appreciated for interacting courteously with staff or visitors when needed Previous porter or maintenance experience is beneficial but not required; training will be provided to qualified candidates Join us in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment during night hours!
