A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description

Weekday Third Shift Production Floor Custodian working at FLEX, West Columbia, SC. Must be able to pass a background screening. Pay rate is $16 per hour, paid weekly, shift is as follows: 11pm-7am the following morning

Basic Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older No experience required, on the job training can be provided No High School Diploma, GED, or college degree required
Preferred Qualifications:
Customer service experience 1 year of similar work experience
Responsibilities:
Clean and maintain buildings/facilities Service, clean, and supply restrooms, and locker rooms Clean and dust furniture, fixtures, floors, ceilings, walls, racks, machines, and equipment Clean interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaners, microfiber towels, sponges, and squeegees Report to the Shift Lead, and overall Project Manager as needed Capable of standing and moving for long periods of time Capable of lifting and moving items up to 20lbs regularly, and up to 45lbs on occasion Clean and maintain the cleanliness of buildings/facilities Follow company procedures for use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors, fixtures, and equipment Notify Lead, or Manager concerning the need for minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems Establish and maintain effective communication and professional working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc. Comply with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the company, clients, and regulatory authorities Gather trash from specified locations and empty to appropriate compactor Maintain outside around the building to keep free of trash and debris Sweep on walkways, to remove debrisi in order to maintain a clear pathway Wipe and clean tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas Remove recycling from specified locations and transport to appropriate compactors
