Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitorial/Maintenance professional to keep our facilities clean, safe, and well-maintained. In this vital role, you will ensure that all areas are spotless, organized, and functioning optimally to provide a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. Your proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance will help uphold the high standards of our organization, fostering a positive and productive atmosphere every day. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including casino, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment. Conduct routine custodial tasks such as trash removal, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces to maintain hygiene standards. Carry out floor care procedures including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to preserve the appearance and safety of flooring surfaces. Maintain facilities by performing minor repairs, painting walls or fixtures as needed, and ensuring equipment is in good working order. Support industrial cleaning projects when required, utilizing specialized tools for deep cleaning of large or heavily soiled areas. Assist with porter duties such as moving furniture or supplies and ensuring the overall cleanliness of the building's interior and exterior spaces. Follow safety protocols at all times during cleaning and maintenance activities to prevent accidents or injuries. Qualifications Proven janitorial or custodial experience with a strong understanding of commercial cleaning procedures. Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing. Experience in facilities maintenance or industrial cleaning is highly desirable. Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Physical stamina to perform manual tasks such as lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and climbing ladders if necessary.
