Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, common areas, and other designated spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and mops. Handle cleaning chemicals safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures and safety protocol adherence. Operate janitorial equipment including vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and sanitation tools to ensure optimal cleanliness. Conduct custodial tasks such as trash removal, surface disinfection, window cleaning, and floor care to maintain high hygiene standards. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks like minor repairs or reporting issues requiring professional attention. Support heavy lifting activities using safe lifting practices when moving furniture or supplies. Communicate effectively in both English and the second language to coordinate cleaning schedules and address client or staff requests promptly. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is preferred. Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and sanitation tools is highly desirable. Experience handling chemical agents safely within established safety protocols is essential. Background in facilities maintenance or general upkeep roles enhances suitability for this position. Customer service skills are valuable for interacting professionally with staff and visitors. Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while maintaining safe lifting practices is required. Knowledge of safety procedures related to chemical handling safety procedures and sanitation standards ensures a secure working environment.
