JOB INFORMATION

Custodian is primarily responsible for cleaning the university in a manner that promotes health and safety, following daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules. The Custodian follows both written and oral cleaning schedules. The Custodian may also be responsible for additional duties not stipulated below. These additional duties include general building, stadium, and grounds maintenance, etc.

Primary Duties:

Collect all garbage and recyclables from the assigned locations and place them in the correct disposal dumpster Cleans and sanitizes restrooms and fixtures daily with a germicidal solution Wet mops all washable floors, including restrooms, stairwells, elevators, office areas, and storage areas Cleans glass and windows (inside and outside) when required Cleans office areas and building entrances Vacuums all carpeted areas and dust-mops corridors Dust, clean, and sanitize other surfaces Refills paper towels, toilet paper, and hand soap in all dispensers Participate in emergency drills and environmental safety activities, as requested Attend and participate in worksite safety and in-service training Perform other duties as assigned
