Porter

The Porter will clean and maintain the facility internally and externally.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Performs general cleaning and janitorial duties in the common areas of the building. Performs minor repairs and maintenance such as replacing light fixtures or unclogging pipes. Assists in cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, breakrooms, training room, offices and conference room. Performs limited grounds maintenance such picking up trash from parking lot, smoking area, outside break area, sidewalks, and front lawns. Maintains a neat and orderly Porters' room; ensures cleaning and maintenance supplies are stocked. Washes windows as needed. Vacuum and mop floors. Assists in examining the facility for safety hazards, reports deficiencies to Plant Manager, Maintenance Manager, Safety Manager or HR Manager. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Knowledge of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions. Detail-oriented and thorough. Ability to perform basic repairs and operate tools or equipment used in routine maintenance. Ability to keep the facility clean and orderly. Ability to interact with staff, students, parents, and visitors at school while remaining professional, polite, and courteous.

None.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Must pass a background check and drug screen.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods standing. Be able to always wear required safety PPE, including steel toe leather safety boots. Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds at a time. Monday-Friday 5:00am-3:30pm Overtime scheduled as needed
