Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of floors, surfaces, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers. Handle chemical agents safely during cleaning tasks, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures. Conduct custodial duties including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, and sanitation of all designated areas. Operate cleaning machinery and equipment efficiently while following safe lifting practices and manual handling guidelines. Maintain facilities by performing minor maintenance tasks such as painting touch-ups or light repairs when necessary. Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a hazard-free environment for all staff and visitors. Assist with general facilities maintenance activities to support the overall upkeep of the premises. Skills Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial roles with knowledge of commercial or residential cleaning standards. Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and sanitation tools. Ability to handle chemical agents safely while following proper procedures for chemical handling safety. Strong manual handling skills with an emphasis on safe lifting practices and heavy lifting techniques. Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when needed. Experience in custodial work combined with basic maintenance skills including painting or minor repairs.
