  • Job Description
  • This role supports a busy data center facility in Abilene by maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment. You will perform a variety of cleaning tasks throughout the site, helping ensure that work areas remain presentable and free of debris in an industrial and construction setting.
  • Responsibilities
  • + Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and wiping down surfaces throughout the facility.

+ Remove, collect, and properly dispose of garbage and debris from work areas and common spaces.

+ Maintain cleanliness in high-traffic and operational areas within an industrial and construction-oriented environment.

+ Follow established cleaning procedures and safety protocols to ensure a safe and organized worksite.

+ Use provided personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly at all times while performing cleaning duties.

+ Support site cleanliness during ongoing construction and industrial activities by promptly addressing dust, spills, and waste.

+ Communicate any safety hazards, spills, or maintenance issues observed during cleaning to the appropriate on-site contacts.

+ Work effectively on either day or night shifts, adhering to the scheduled rotation and completing assigned tasks on time.

+ Adapt to changing site conditions and cleaning priorities as construction and operational needs evolve.

  • Essential Skills
  • + Experience working in a construction or industrial environment.

+ Prior experience in a cleaner role, preferably in industrial or construction settings.

+ Ability to perform physical tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and lifting bags of trash or debris.

+ Understanding of basic workplace safety practices in industrial or construction environments.

+ Reliability in following schedules and completing cleaning assignments consistently.

+ Ability to follow instructions and adhere to site-specific cleaning and safety procedures.

  • + Comfort working in an active construction or industrial facility with ongoing operations. + Attention to detail when cleaning to ensure work areas remain safe and presentable. + Willingness to work extended shifts and rotating schedules, including days or nights. + Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or alongside other cleaners and site personnel.

  • Work Environment
  • This position is based in a data center environment with ongoing industrial and construction activity.

Personal protective equipment is provided, including gloves, hard hat, high-visibility safety vest, and safety glasses, while steel-toe footwear is required and must be supplied by the candidate. The schedule follows a rotating pattern: day shifts run from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Saturday, with two weeks of six 10-hour days followed by a third week of five 10-hour days; night shifts run from 6:00 PM to 4:30 AM on the same rotation and include a shift differential. The work involves standing, walking, and performing manual cleaning tasks for extended periods in an industrial setting where safety awareness and proper use of PPE are essential.

  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $20.

00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
