Building Attendant Leader University of Texas at Arlington - 4.2 Arlington, TX Job Details Full-time Up to $20 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Qualifications High school diploma or GED Non-CDL Class C Custodial experience Full Job Description Position Information Posting Number S06752P Position Title Building Attendant Leader Department Facilities Mgmt_Custodial Location Arlington Position Status Full-time Work Schedule Monday - Friday; 8:00am- 4:30pm Participates in the on-call shifts Salary Hourly rate is commensurate based on qualifications and relevant experience up to $20 Pay Basis Hourly Job Summary The Building Attendant Leader performs skilled level housekeeping work which includes housekeeping maintenance of buildings and miscellaneous related services. Performs complex custodial work, which involves cleaning and caring for buildings and maintaining custodial equipment and ordering supplies. Leads Housekeepers and contractors to meet campus cleaning needs under the supervision of the Custodial Services Manager. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Advises and assists Custodial Manager of special assignments or changes in work routine of staff; assists with inspections of day-to-day duties of Building Attendants I and II. Assist vendors providing custodial services, carpet cleaning, and window services. Participates in staff interviews, training, evaluating, and corrective action. Manages custodial work orders for assignments, work completion, quality control, accurate records/input, and closing. Assists with custodial reports. Assists with customer satisfaction. Monitors and assists with orders and maintains supply records and equipment maintenance requirements and reports any building repairs needed. Must have knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures in their everyday use. Provide back-up support for day-to-day cleaning tasks of common areas. Respond to on-call emergencies before/during/after hours of operation. This includes fires, electrical outages, floods, and icy conditions. Must be able to identify the problem, plan for the appropriate action, communicate severity, and fix the problem. Performs other duties assigned. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. One (1) year of experience in a cleaning service position. This position requires you to have and maintain a Texas Class "C" Operator's Driver's License and three (3) years of acceptable driving history. Preferred Qualifications Three (3) years of experience in housekeeping work. Two (2) years of supervisory experience. Bi-lingual. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of cleaning techniques and procedures, skill in the use of custodial chemicals and the operation of housekeeping equipment. Ability to effectively execute oral and written instruction. Ability to complete all physical tasks as needed. Other Requirements Alertness and careful attention is required to avoid injury to self and others. Special job requirements or physical location of some positions allocated to this classification, may render the position security sensitive, and thereby subject to the provisions of section 51.215 texas education code. Workplace and Eligibility Conditions Conditions do involve exposure to all weather elements. Must be able to work off of ladders, scaffolding, and tops/roofs of buildings. working conditions are considered acceptable, but occasionally involve exposure to one (1) or more disagreeable elements such as biohazards, toxic lab chemicals, poisonous gases dust, dirt, and the need to work in confined spaces, extreme cold or hot and all weather conditions.
