Overview Join our dynamic team as a Seasonal Kennel Cleaner/Kennel Technician and play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our furry friends. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning and sanitation of kennels, cages, and common areas to uphold hygiene standards. Assist with dog handling, including feeding, walking, and supervising playtime to promote healthy socialization. Support veterinary staff with animal restraint and basic care procedures during examinations or treatments. Monitor animals for signs of health issues or distress and communicate observations to veterinary personnel. Provide pet grooming, pet sitting, and general pet care services as needed to enhance animal comfort. Handle heavy lifting tasks related to supplies, bedding, and equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain detailed records of animal intake, discharge, and daily activities to ensure accurate documentation. Skills Experience with dog training techniques and dog handling skills that promote positive interactions. Veterinary experience or background as a veterinary technician or assistant that supports animal health needs. Knowledge of pet grooming practices and pet sitting responsibilities for diverse breeds and temperaments. Strong animal handling and restraint skills to ensure safety for both animals and staff. Excellent customer service abilities to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining physical stamina throughout shifts. Passion for animal care combined with a proactive attitude toward maintaining a clean and organized environment.
