This role focuses heavily on weekend operations, ensuring all worship spaces, fellowship halls, restrooms, and common areas are clean and ready for services, events, and weekly programming. Key Responsibilities Floor Care & Maintenance Sweep, mop, and scrub wood, and concrete surfaces, including high-traffic areas and the church gymnasium. Vacuum all carpeted spaces (sanctuary, hallways, offices, and classrooms). Perform routine floor care, including spot-cleaning carpets, buffing wood floors, and prepping surfaces for seasonal maintenance. Restroom Sanitation Thoroughly clean, sanitize, and restock all campus restrooms multiple times throughout weekend services and peak event hours. Clean toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, countertops, partitions, and trash receptacles. Kitchen & Fellowship Area Care Maintain two commercial/event kitchens, ensuring countertops, sinks, exterior appliances, and food-prep surfaces are sanitized. Sweep and mop kitchen floors, empty trash, and ensure compliance with basic health and safety standards. General Cleaning & Dusting Dust high and low surfaces, including pews, windowsills, ledges, light fixtures, blinds, and decorative fixtures. Clean and polish glass windows, entry doors, and door handles to remove fingerprints and smudges. Empty all indoor and outdoor trash and recycling bins, replacing liners as needed. Periodic Deep Cleaning & Event Support Conduct deep cleaning tasks during low-traffic days (Mondays/Tuesdays), including high-dusting, carpet extraction, tile/grout scrubbing, and window washing. Assist with basic room setups and tear-downs (moving chairs, tables, and podiums) for ministry events as needed. Monitor cleaning supplies inventory and report low stock or facility maintenance needs to the Facilities Coordinator.

Qualifications & Requirements Experience:

1-3 years of custodial, commercial cleaning, or janitorial experience preferred (experience with church or institutional facilities is a plus).

Skills:

Knowledge of standard cleaning chemicals, sanitation procedures, and floor care equipment (vacuums, mops, floor buffers, auto-scrubbers).

Physical Demands:

Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift up to 50 lbs., and climb ladders as needed throughout a shift.

Reliability:

Punctual with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Schedule Flexibility:

Willingness and ability to work every weekend and major church holidays (e.g., Easter, Christmas) as required.

Background Check:

Must successfully pass a background check prior to employment.

Schedule:

Friday - Tuesday (Must work Saturdays and Sundays; off Wednesdays and Thursdays)

Compensation & Benefits Pay Rate:

$17.00/ hour
