Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a pristine and safe environment across our facilities. This vital role involves performing thorough cleaning and sanitation tasks, ensuring all areas are hygienic, organized, and welcoming for staff and visitors alike. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive attitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety standards, helping us uphold the highest cleanliness standards in a fast-paced setting. Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas. Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely, adhering to all chemical handling safety procedures. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums to maintain floors and surfaces in optimal condition. Conduct sanitation of restrooms, kitchens, and common areas to ensure compliance with health standards. Assist with light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, minor repairs, and painting touch-ups when necessary. Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting or manual handling activities to prevent injuries. Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly. Qualifications Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is preferred. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment operation, and custodial best practices. Ability to handle chemical agents safely following proper safety procedures. Physical capability for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks while maintaining safe lifting practices. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Customer service mindset with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
