What they do
A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Apply Description The Hayworth Apartments is now hiring a Porter / Make Ready in Memorial Area. Responsibilities Prepare vacant apartments for market ready status through turn-over repairs and improvements Maintain snow removal, cleaning and maintenance of grounds, including common areas Provide residents with outstanding customer service Keep the property clean and free of trash and debris Pick up trash around buildings, parking areas, and common spaces Clean breezeways, stairwells, and other shared areas Maintain dumpster and trash areas Assist the maintenance team with light tasks when needed Report any maintenance or safety concerns to management Help keep the community neat and welcoming for residents Requirements 1+ years of experience in maintenance or custodial work is preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Basic knowledge of maintenance tools and equipment is a plus. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Must be able to occasionally lift 50lbs
