This dynamic role combines essential custodial duties with food preparation responsibilities, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to handle various cleaning and cooking tasks efficiently. Your efforts will directly contribute to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and comfort within our facility while supporting daily meal services. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive cleaning duties across all areas, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold hygiene standards. Handle chemical agents safely during cleaning processes, adhering to proper handling procedures and safety protocols. Operate floor buffers and other custodial equipment to maintain polished floors and enhance overall cleanliness. Conduct industrial and commercial cleaning tasks, including deep cleaning of restrooms, kitchens, and common areas. Assist in basic maintenance tasks such as light repairs, painting touch-ups, and ensuring facilities are well-maintained. Prepare and cook meals according to menu specifications while maintaining food safety standards. Support heavy lifting activities using safe lifting practices when handling supplies or equipment. Maintain cleanliness in kitchen areas, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and organizing storage spaces. Follow health and safety regulations diligently to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience is highly preferred, especially in commercial or industrial settings. Experience with chemical agent handling and safe cleaning practices is essential. Familiarity with floor care equipment such as buffers and knowledge of proper floor maintenance techniques is advantageous. Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within a professional setting is desirable. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while following safe lifting practices. Background in facilities maintenance or porter roles will be considered a plus. Demonstrated reliability with a strong work ethic and attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.
