Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Operating Room (EVS) Specialist, where your dedication to cleanliness and sanitation directly impacts patient safety and surgical success. In this vital role, you will ensure the operating environment is impeccably maintained, sterile, and ready for procedures. Your proactive approach to environmental services will help uphold the highest standards of infection control and hospital hygiene, creating a safe and welcoming space for patients, staff, and visitors alike. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced healthcare setting while developing your custodial skills in a meaningful way. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning and sanitation of operating rooms, surgical suites, and related areas following strict infection control protocols Maintain cleanliness of floors, surfaces, equipment, and fixtures using appropriate floor care and commercial cleaning techniques Follow OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all staff and visitors Conduct routine environmental services tasks including trash removal, disinfection, and restocking supplies in accordance with hospital policies Utilize janitorial experience to ensure all areas meet hospital standards for hygiene, safety, and readiness for surgical procedures Assist with special cleaning projects or emergency sanitation needs as directed by supervisory staff Document cleaning activities accurately and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in a healthcare or hospital setting preferred but not required; training will be provided Familiarity with OSHA safety standards related to environmental services and sanitation practices Experience with floor care techniques such as stripping, waxing, buffing, or carpet cleaning is advantageous Strong understanding of environmental services procedures including cleaning schedules, sanitation protocols, and infection prevention measures Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Previous experience in commercial cleaning or hospital housekeeping enhances readiness for this role Join us in making a difference through meticulous environmental care! Pay:
$11.00 - $15.00 per hour
