PART-TIME POSITION

Job Summary:

The Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean facility by completing a variety of cleaning tasks.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Sweep hard floors. Damp mops hard floors. Vacuums carpeted areas. Disinfects hard surfaces and commonly touched items like desks, door handles, office tools, and phones. Cleans and maintains restrooms. Empties trash cans and recycling bins. Cleans glass and mirrors. Dusts high and low areas and clean cobwebs from corners. Changes bed linens. Stocks and maintains supply rooms. Communicates with site point of contacts and relays messages to supervisors. Uses a variety of tools and equipment. Performs other related duties, as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities:

Excellent Time Management Skills. Excellent Communication Skills. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to clean and disinfect various surfaces. Knowledge of various cleaning products and when to use them. Knowledge of safety guidelines when working with chemical cleaners.

Education & Experience:

Prior military experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds. Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and working on-site. Manual dexterity and physical stamina for handling cleaning equipment. Valid Driver's license. Must have reliable transportation.

Work Environment:

Exposure to external weather conditions that can include inclement, heat, and humidity. Exposure to construction site environments, including noise, dust, and machinery. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities, who are otherwise qualified, to perform the primary functions. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required when on-site.
