Supply Chain Industrial Cleaner This position is responsible for assisting in the operation of a department. An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job related responsibilities and duties throughout the facility as assigned and/or as necessary. Essential Functions An individual must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this position with or without a reasonable accommodation. Cleans and sanitizes automation equipment (for example, conveyor belts, sorters, diverters, robotic pick arms, carousels, associated mechanical components) using approved cleaning agents and methods to prevent contamination and mechanical failure. Removes product debris, dust, and residue buildup from all surfaces of automation equipment (for example, motor housings, sensors, guide rails, rollers, frame supports). Cleans hard-to-reach areas beneath and around automation equipment by working in confined, low-clearance spaces. Performs cleaning tasks that require working on hands and knees on grated flooring and equipment platforms for extended periods of time, reaching into tight spaces beneath conveyors and mechanical equipment. Performs belly-level cleaning tasks that require lying flat on the floor or grating and reaching beneath equipment frames, conveyor beds, and low-clearance automated systems to clean areas inaccessible by standing or kneeling alone. Inspects automation equipment surfaces during cleaning to identify and report signs of damage, unusual residue, fluid leaks, or potential mechanical hazards to maintenance teams. Follows lockout/tagout (LOTO) and all safety protocols before and during the cleaning of any automation equipment to prevent injury from moving parts. Cleans floor grating, drainage channels, and catch pans located beneath automation equipment to prevent buildup and ensure proper drainage and hygiene standards. Uses specialized brushes, wands, compressed air tools, and vacuum equipment designed to access confined spaces within and beneath automation systems. Maintains (for example, stocks, cleans, organizes) and records inventory of required cleaning tools and supplies, including janitorial or supply closets and carts. Coordinates cleaning schedules with operations and maintenance teams to perform equipment cleaning during planned downtime windows without disrupting production flow. Operates various pieces of equipment in the facility. Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; using the Open Door Policy; and applying these in executing business processes and practices.
