This role involves performing a variety of cleaning tasks to ensure the highest standards of sanitation and cleanliness are upheld. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to creating a healthy space for staff, visitors, and clients alike. This paid position offers an opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of our facilities through diligent custodial work and maintenance. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas. Handle cleaning chemicals and agents safely in accordance with chemical handling safety procedures. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums to maintain floors and surfaces in pristine condition. Conduct heavy lifting tasks following safe lifting practices when moving furniture, supplies, or equipment. Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting restrooms, kitchens, and high-touch surfaces regularly. Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting issues requiring professional attention. Follow cleaning checklist across all pertaining duties while abiding by safety protocols diligently to ensure a hazard-free environment for all staff and visitors. Skills Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning practices. Strong understanding of cleaning techniques, sanitation procedures, and chemical agent handling safety procedures. Ability to operate cleaning equipment including floor buffers and other custodial tools effectively. Physical stamina for manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking. Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when needed. Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks like minor repairs or painting is a plus. Knowledge of safety protocol adherence to ensure a secure working environment at all times.
