A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

$14.82 per hour
Work Hours:
Full Time (40 Hours/Week). Days and hours vary. Two days off per week.

General Job Duties:
Follow established cleaning methods in performing daily duties. This includes cleaning the floors, restrooms, windows, parking lots, production and dock, dumpster areas. Responsible for other housekeeping duties as directed by the Retail Operations Manager or Assistant Retail Operations Manager, including check stands. Help customers with carry outs i.e., furniture, mattresses. Remove empty clothing racks, totes, barrels, and boxes from store to specified area in the facility. Follow established cleaning methods in performing daily duties.
Skills/Qualifications:
Prior experience in cleaning/housekeeping preferred. Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions and perform routine and repetitive duties. Visual acuity to detect cleanliness. Neat appearance. Ability to communicate clearly with customers and other Team Members.
Physical Requirements:
Walking, stooping, standing, reaching 6 feet (or can with a ladder), pulling, pushing, lifting 50 pounds. Some heavier lifting required with assistance. Good physical stamina. Ability to lift and carry out furniture and mattresses. Perform a variety of duties to include dry and wet mopping, wall and glass cleaning, restroom sanitation, waste removal and floor care procedures with the use of vacuum cleaners and buffers. Must be able to work standing for prolonged periods of time. Must be sufficiently mobile to work in the entire facility.
