Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to join our dynamic facilities team. In this vital role, you will ensure that our work environment remains spotless, safe, and welcoming for all employees, visitors, and clients. Your proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance will help uphold the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness across our facilities. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of offices, restrooms, hallways, common areas, and other designated spaces using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies. Maintain floors through sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to ensure a pristine appearance. Handle waste disposal by emptying trash receptacles and recycling bins regularly. Conduct routine janitorial tasks such as dusting surfaces, disinfecting high-touch areas, and restocking supplies like paper towels and soap. Assist with light custodial duties including window washing, surface polishing, and minor repairs as needed. Support facilities maintenance activities such as basic repairs or reporting issues requiring specialized attention. Follow safety protocols during all cleaning procedures to ensure a hazard-free environment for everyone. Requirements Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings. Knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care, buffing, and industrial cleaning methods. Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners effectively. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently. Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift. Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices is a plus; experience in residential painting or industrial cleaning is advantageous.
