Responsibilities Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks including floor scrubbing, waxing, buffing, and refinishing to restore surfaces to their best condition. Handle cleaning chemicals and floor cleaning chemicals safely and effectively, following all safety protocols. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, polishers, carpet extractors, and other janitorial tools to ensure thorough cleanliness. Conduct carpet cleaning and detailed floor care to maintain high standards of hygiene and appearance. Manage manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting of supplies or equipment while adhering to proper ergonomic practices. Maintain a clean environment by performing janitorial duties like trash removal, restroom sanitation, and dusting. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to client requests and ensuring satisfaction with the cleaning results. Requirements Proven experience in custodial or environmental services with a focus on commercial cleaning preferred. Knowledge of floor care techniques including floor buffing, waxing, refinishing, and tile cleaning. Ability to handle chemical agents safely and responsibly while following safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines. Skilled in operating various cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, carpet cleaners, and buffers. Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
