Position Summary:

The Parts Porter is responsible for supporting the logistics and inventory operations at MGB Manufacturing by moving, organizing, and delivering parts to various departments and workstations. This role ensures that all necessary parts are available and properly stored to minimize delays in production and assembly processes. The Parts Porter will also assist in maintaining an accurate inventory, ensuring the efficiency of the production line, and supporting the warehouse staff. Key Roles /

Responsibilities:

Safely and efficiently transport parts and materials between warehouse, workstations, and production areas as requested. Assist in the organization and stocking of parts in designated areas. Ensure parts are labeled and stored properly for easy retrieval. Monitor stock levels and notify the inventory team when parts need to be replenished. Transport parts from the storage area to the production floor or requested locations as needed. Assist in receiving parts from suppliers, inspecting for quality and accuracy, and placing them in appropriate storage locations. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring that all parts are stored safely and systematically in compliance with the company's guidelines. Record parts movement in the inventory management system and ensure accurate tracking of stock. Work closely with warehouse personnel, production teams, and supervisors to ensure timely delivery of parts and supplies. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines for handling and transporting parts and materials. Report any safety hazards or incidents immediately. Perform other tasks as directed by the supervisor or warehouse manager to support the operational needs of the facility.

Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications:

Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment is preferred. Basic knowledge of inventory systems and warehouse operations. Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (training provided if necessary). Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Effective communication skills to work with various departments. Physical stamina to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs). High school diploma or equivalent required. Forklift certification is a plus.

Working Conditions:

Bending, lifting, climbing, pushing, pulling, kneeling, sitting stand, walk, kneel, stoop, squat, pull, push, climb, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, and see and standing (occasionally) for long periods of time. The essential duties of this position require moderate to heavy lifting and carrying. Must be able to position oneself to work in confined spaces such as trenches, pits, manholes, attics, and tunnels and demonstrate manual dexterity and be able to use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Exposure to moderate noise levels, vibrations, and bright lights; and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases; and all climate types including hot and cold temperatures, humidity, rain, snow, etc. Able to wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection and hard hats when needed. React quickly using hands, fingers, or feet. Must be able to comprehend and follow written and oral instructions. Must be able to complete tasks even with frequent interruptions. Must be able to use discretion and independent judgment as needed. Must be able to speak clearly on the phone and to fellow workers. #
