As a Custodian, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks that keep our spaces inviting and functional. Duties Perform comprehensive cleaning duties across multiple areas, including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers. Handle chemical agents safely by following proper handling procedures to ensure sanitation and prevent hazards. Conduct heavy lifting tasks using safe lifting practices to move furniture, supplies, or equipment as needed. Maintain floor care through buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to ensure surfaces are pristine and durable. Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns and report issues promptly. Utilize janitorial supplies efficiently while adhering to safety protocols for chemical handling and disposal. Support general facilities maintenance activities including minor repairs, painting, and industrial cleaning tasks to uphold high standards of cleanliness and safety. Requirements Proven custodial or janitorial experience in commercial or industrial settings with a strong understanding of cleaning procedures. Knowledge of cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, scrubbers, and related tools. Familiarity with chemical agent handling safety procedures to ensure safe use and storage of cleaning products. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while following safe lifting practices. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude toward staff and visitors. Experience with sanitation standards and facility maintenance protocols. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
