Job Summary:

The Janitorial Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment within a warehouse facility that stores dog food received by barge. This position ensures all common areas, restrooms, showers, lockers, offices, and kitchen/breakroom areas meet cleanliness, hygiene, and workplace safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, urinals, floors, and fixtures Clean and maintain employee showers and locker rooms Maintain cleanliness of breakrooms/kitchens, including tables, countertops, sinks, appliances, and trash removal Clean office areas, including floors, desks (as permitted), trash removal, and shared spaces Sweep, mop, vacuum, and sanitize floors throughout assigned areas Refill supplies such as soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and sanitizer Properly handle and dispose of trash, recycling, and cleaning waste Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and according to instructions Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to supervision Follow all warehouse safety rules, food safety awareness standards, and company policies Perform additional cleaning duties as assigned during barge deliveries or high-traffic periods

Industrial warehouse setting with stored pet food products Exposure to cleaning chemicals and industrial cleaning equipment Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting May include variable temperatures depending on warehouse conditions
