Pay:

$15.00 per hour

Sweep carpet and then vacuum carpet at major store. Sweep concrete floor and operate scrubber machine for detailing corners.

Maintains the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of commercial or residential flooring through specialized tasks like sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, stripping, waxing, and buffing. They operate machinery such as buffers and scrubbers, remove debris, and ensure high-traffic areas meet hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities and Duties Cleaning Operations:

Sweep, mop, mop-dry, and vacuum various floor types, including carpet, tile, hardwood, concrete, and vinyl.

Floor Maintenance:

Strip, seal, buff, and wax hard floors to maintain finish and longevity.

Carpet Care:

Shampoo, steam clean, and remove spots from carpeted areas.

Equipment Maintenance:

Safely operate and perform routine maintenance on vacuums, electric scrubbers, and buffers.

Safety and Compliance:

Adhere to safety protocols, use proper personal protective equipment (PPE), and place "wet floor" signs to prevent accidents.

Sanitation:

Dispose of trash and waste, and disinfect high-traffic,, and restroom areas.

Reporting:

Notify supervisors regarding maintenance issues, damages, or shortages in cleaning supplies

Required Skills and Qualifications Experience:

Prior janitorial, cleaning, or floor care experience is often preferred.

Physical Stamina:

Capability to stand for long periods, lift heavy equipment, and move furniture.

Technical Knowledge:

Familiarity with various cleaning chemicals,floor types, and machinery.

Attention to

Detail:

Ability to ensure thorough cleaning and detect maintenance needs.

Time Management:

Ability to complete tasks efficiently within scheduled, often non-business, hours.
