Department:

The Operations & Facilities Services Division at Round Rock ISD provides custodial, maintenance, and facilities support across the district. The Custodial Services team keeps campuses clean, safe, and ready for students and staff, and works to meet or exceed applicable health and safety standards. About the

Role:

The Assistant Director of Custodial Services helps lead the department's operational, financial, and personnel activities. The role reports to the Director of Custodial Services and supports day-to-day operations, special projects, budget oversight, and compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Supervision:

Manage daily custodial operations, supervise assigned staff, and coordinate with campuses and other departments.

Budget and Compliance:

Assist with budget development and monitoring; maintain records, work orders, and required documentation; verify compliance with applicable codes.

Emergency Response:

Review the emergency notification system and recommend appropriate action.

Special Projects:

Support and supervise projects such as vinyl, wood, and concrete floor refinishing, carpet cleaning, and high window or light work.

Training and Development:

Assess training needs, support staff certifications, and participate in professional development.

Community Relations:

Communicate with campus and department staff, civic and governmental partners, and the broader community.

Entry Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Five years of relevant experience, including at least three years in a supervisory role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid Texas driver's license, with the ability to meet district vehicle liability policy requirements.
