Job Description

Primary Purpose

Maintain custodial equipment in a condition of operating readiness; performing routine repairs and preventive maintenance. Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.

Qualifications

Education/Certification

High school diploma or GED preferred

Texas driver's license and pass MVR driving record check - must meet eligibility requirements for CCISD motor vehicle insurance

Special Knowledge/Skills Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Bilingual - Spanish/English preferred

Basic knowledge of custodial equipment maintenance

Ability to analyze problems to reach repair solutions

Knowledge of basic bench tools and concepts

Major Responsibilities and Duties

Assume responsibility for the safe and efficient operating condition of custodial and emergency response equipment.

Perform routine repairs, preventative maintenance, and new installations.

Document repairs and preventative maintenance utilizing current work order management system.

Work with Custodial Equipment Repair Technician, Lead and Assistant Lead Custodians, Fixed Assets, and Maintenance Director, in maintaining accurate inventory of site based custodial and emergency response equipment.

Travel to schools to facilitate repairs, preventative maintenance, and/or train custodial staff in proper operating procedures based on manufacturer's recommendations.

Work in cooperation with Maintenance Supervisors in maintaining the district's preventive maintenance and energy management programs.

Participate in district Standard Reunification Protocol as directed by the Incident Commander or designee.

Demonstrate integrity and ethics.

Be available for after-hours demands.

Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal).

Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.
