07/01/2026 Position Announcement Under the direction of the Custodial Manger, performs a full range of regular and recurring custodial duties for Utah Tech University. Responsibilities Responsible for maintenance of assigned University building(s). Cleans and maintains floors by vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, waxing and cleaning carpet. Cleans and supplies restrooms, using disinfectant and acid chemicals. Cleans and maintains entrances to building(s) and perimeter of buildings(s), such as picking-up trash, removing gum, graffiti, cobwebs etc. Collects and disposes of garbage. Wash walls, whiteboards, furniture, remove chewing gum, smudge, black marks, graffiti etc. Wash windows and window frames. Assists with special projects throughout the campus as directed by Custodial Manger and Lead Custodian. Clean and maintain assigned areas and equipment. Perform inside and outside manual labor. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Read and interpret labels on chemicals and supplies. Operate a variety of building equipment, including sweepers, backpack vacuums, mops and wringers, broom, and other cleaning equipment. Establish and maintain effective working relationship with fellow employees and those contacted in the scope of work. Understand and follow oral and written directions.
